About the Registration System

This Registration System is the culminating project for the City University of Seattle Master of Science in Computer Systems Capstone course. It is designed to allow the City University of Seattle students to login in and register for a course for the next term, to allow instructors to login and check what course they are able to teach and what course they have been assigned to teach, and for administrators to handle student, instructor, course and class management functions.

The actual system is but one part of this all encompassing course. Together with the Project Proposal, Technical Specifications, User's Guide, Project Assessment and Engineering Notebook, the program follows a typical project development lifecycle, however compressed into ten weeks. Completion of the course and the Final Exam signal the end of a challenging and fulfilling program.

This system is written completely in HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, with Javascript for validation functions. It is hosted on a Linux server running Apache, MySQL, and PHP. It was created in Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. The graphics, CSS, and most of the Javascript are property of City University of Seattle. The contents of the system to include the code, database layout and contents of the database, are property of Codemutt.com.
